Cookie Policy

Last updated: 25 April 2026. This page explains the local storage and cookies that may be set when you use ShiftPlanning.

What we set ourselves

ShiftPlanning does not set tracking cookies of its own. The only thing the site stores in your browser directly is a single localStorage entry containing your current team configuration and generated schedule, so the tool can pick up where you left off after a reload. This entry never leaves your device.

You can clear it at any time:

  • Use the Clear Settings button inside the app.
  • Or clear site data for shift-planning.com via your browser's privacy controls.

Cookies set by Google AdSense

The ads on the site are served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies in your browser to:

  • Measure ad impressions and clicks.
  • Limit the number of times you see the same ad.
  • Personalise ads to your interests, where personalisation is enabled.
  • Detect fraud and abuse.

These cookies are governed by Google's policies, not by ours. You can review the full list and their purposes on the Google cookies policy page.

Controlling and opting out

You have several options if you want to limit the use of cookies on this site:

  • Personalised ads — visit google.com/settings/ads to turn off ad personalisation across all Google services. You will still see ads, but they will not be personalised based on your activity.
  • Third-party cookies — most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies entirely, which prevents AdSense from setting tracking cookies. The trade-off is that some features on other sites may not work as expected.
  • Industry opt-outs — you can manage interest-based advertising preferences from many networks at optout.aboutads.info or, in the EU, at youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Browser extensions such as content blockers can also prevent ad cookies from being set; please respect that the site is supported by advertising and consider allow-listing it if you find it useful.

For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

When required by law, Google's consent management framework will request your consent for the use of cookies for personalised advertising and measurement. You can withdraw consent at any time using the controls described above.
