Privacy Policy

Summary

ShiftPlanning is a free, browser-based shift-scheduling tool. There is no account, no login, and no central database. The schedules and configuration files you create live on your own device. We do, however, display advertising on the site and use limited browser storage to make the tool work — the details below explain exactly what that means.

Who runs this site

ShiftPlanning is operated as an independent free project. The site is hosted on Vercel and served from shift-planning.com. For privacy questions or requests, you can reach us at tharathip.kul@gmail.com.

What data we collect from you directly

We do not ask you to register, sign in, or submit any personal information to use the tool. The schedules, employee lists, skills, shift definitions, and Excel files you create remain on your computer. They are never uploaded to a server we control.

If you choose to email us at the address above, we will, of course, see your email address and the contents of your message. We use that information only to reply to your enquiry and do not add you to any mailing list.

Browser storage (localStorage)

To save you from re-entering your team configuration every time you reload the page, ShiftPlanning stores a copy of your current settings — employees, skills, shifts, leave, generated schedule — in your browser's localStorage. This storage is local to your device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

You can clear this stored data at any time:

• From inside the tool, click the Clear Settings button in the top-right of the app.
• Or use your browser's privacy settings to clear site data for shift-planning.com.

Advertising — Google AdSense

We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show you ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. These cookies are set by Google, not by ShiftPlanning, and are governed by Google's advertising policies.

You can control how Google personalises ads to you, including opting out of personalised advertising entirely, at google.com/settings/ads.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region covered by similar consent requirements, Google's consent management tools will request your permission for personalised ads when required.

Other third-party services

The site uses Google Fonts to load typefaces; this involves a request to Google's font servers when you load a page. We do not use any standalone analytics provider (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Mixpanel) at this time. If we add one in the future, this policy will be updated to describe it.

Children's privacy

ShiftPlanning is intended for adults using the tool in a workplace context. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data on a server, there is generally nothing for us to update or delete on your behalf. The actions you can take yourself include:

• Clearing localStorage to remove all configuration the tool has saved.
• Adjusting Google's ad-personalisation settings or opting out of personalised ads.
• Using browser extensions or settings that block third-party cookies.
